These FAQ’s are the most frequently asked questions we receive.
It is important to get your questions answered. After all, we want you to have a great fishing experience. If you have a question that is not listed here in this frequently asked questions, please ask.
Q: What time will we be meeting?
A: Depending on what time of year and your schedule will dictate what time we meet and get off the water.
Q: How many fish are hooked on a typical day?
A: Depending on time of year and angler skill level we are typically hooking 15-50 fish a day.
Q: How do we get back to your truck? Do you row us back up?
A: We use shuttles. At times we ask our clients to help us with the shuttle. Most of the time I will have you leave your rig at the takeout so your vehicle is there too.
Q: What part of the river are we going to fish?
A: We like to fish and know the entire river like the back of our hands. If there is a specific stretch you want to fish, let us know. We are on the river about 200 days a year each and have a good idea on where fishing is best so the saying “trust your guide” will be inserted here, in regards to where we put in and take out.
Q: If I have an emergency cancellation 14 days or less do I get my deposit back?
A: Depending on the emergency yes. If you didn’t plan on a meeting at work that is not an emergency. Sorry, this is how I put food on the table and just because you didn’t plan ahead shouldn’t mean I lose a day of work. They are limited as is. Thank you for your understanding.
Q: What should I bring?
A: You are welcome to bring any of your own gear or flies you tied, but everything aside from waders are provided. Lunch and water are provided on full day trips, but alcohol will not be. You are more than welcome to bring your own but please make good choices. We are a fishing business and there are plenty of bars in town. Please check out are What to Bring page.
Q: Do I need a fishing license.
A: Yes. Frequently, anglers buy their fishing license online at WDFW. If you choose, you wait until you arrive in Ellensburg to buy your license at a local dealer, but you should have your license at least one day before your trip.
