If you are looking at doing some destination fishing out of the state, Top Fly offers a couple of a one of a kind trips partnered with Motiv Fishing. The first trip we offer takes us out of the country into the Yucatan Jungle, the second keeps us local in the beautiful state of Montana.
Deep in the Yucatan jungle is a bay just south of Ascension called Espiritu Santo Bay. Unlike Ascension though, this fishery is in the Sian Kaan biosphere reserve which is heavily regulated as to who can come in and fish. This means a fraction of guides on the water. Sometimes we see a guide drive by our camp in the morning but rarely run into another guide in the bay. That being said you can imagine what kind of pressure these fish are under, practically none! A lot of the fish we encounter may have never even seen a fly before! On the flats and mangroves we target the following species: Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, Barracuda, Cubera Snapper, and Snook.
This is a great destination trip to test your skills out in a secluded area where most of the fish we are catching haven’t even seen a fly!

Our Montana destination trip takes us to a beautiful fishing lodge in Absorakee. We are fortunate enough to live right in the middle of multiple world class blue ribbon fisheries. The East and West Rosebud are just right behind the lodge and we are about an hour away from the Yellowstone and 2 hours away from the Bighorn. We book Montana trips year-round but we are physically over there guiding from June-September. You can take a peak at the accommodations we have in Absarokee here.
There are a lot of destination trips to choose from but none like these one of a kind trips!
